Our aim
At the Department of Dermatology, Faculty of Medicine, Fukuoka University, our primary goal is to bring happiness to our patients. We work collectively to nurture physicians who can contribute to society by achieving this goal.
Curing diseases is an essential step in making patients happy. The first step involves accurate diagnosis, clear explanation to the patient, and the application of advanced and precise knowledge and techniques.
There are still diseases we do not fully understand. For these, conducting research, clarifying pathologies, categorizing them appropriately, and discovering new diagnostic and treatment methods are critical tasks.
Unfortunately, there are diseases that cannot be cured even if understood. Yet, finding ways to make patients comfortable remains an essential duty of physicians. We strive to keep this perspective in mind.
As of March 2023, society is recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic and returning to normal. We aspire to become a group capable of providing medical care that addresses the lessons learned during the pandemic and adapts to the demands of a new era.
